Most of the members of the Class of '68 began our journey through the Oklahoma City Public School System in elementary schools scattered across the northeast quadrant of the city. Many of us entered kindergarten in 1955 and left our elementary school after the sixth grade to attend F. D. Moon Junior High School in the fall of 1962. We expected to spend two years at Moon and then move on to high school in the ninth grade. However, a second junior high school (John F. Kennedy) was constructed in 1964, and both facilities became three-year schools to include the ninth grade. Consequently, our class was split between the two junior high schools during the 1964-1965 school year. In the fall of 1965, we were together again in the tenth grade at Douglass. For a variety of reasons, not all of us remained at Douglass to graduate in 1968. Nonetheless, for the purposes of this roster, we are including ALL of our classmates, whether they graduated with us or not, and a few who were with us only in junior high school.
